My interests are just too diverse and just don't mesh well with each other, especially as far as blogging. I hope to start blogging on news related to Japan again this year, and when I do so, it will either be here or at an entirely new blog ...

Thank you to every who has been following this blog. Also thank you to everyone who has taken the time out to comment at one point or another. Recently, I've been giving news in the morning with small commentary, I am no longer going to do this. Instead I plan to do the following:

• Post more frequently. If I see a story that is amusing or interesting, I'm going to post it. If it's from a blog, then I'll post a small selection and a link. This might vastly increase the number of posts, I hope this won't distract people.

I am changing the name of this blog from "Japan in amber" to "Liberal Japan." This will have no effect on any links people have set up to this blog. Thank you to all people who have so far read and commented on this blog. You are all very much appreciated by me.
